Tea-time Get-togethers are totally informal social occasions, with no membership or subscriptions. These are open afternoons when anyone can turn up and enjoy themselves in a friendly group, with a £1 per head donation.
We meet at Monxton & Amport Village Hall on the third afternoon of the month from 3 pm (or 4 pm as the evenings get lighter) with a speaker or other activity, followed by tea and cake.
The programme for the first few months is as follows:
|Monday, 23 Apr, 3.30 pm||– Favourite Poems (Simon Chesshire)|
|Monday, 21 May, 3.30 pm||– “A Voyage round the Antipodes” (Rob Tierney)|
|Monday, 18 June, 3.30 pm||– Visit to Army Chaplains Museum (Outing)|
|July||– Picnic in the garden of Bridge Cottage|
